Hanna's version of Little Miss Muffet. I love the way she says "tuffet".

Hanna's First Christmas Tree
Hanna has so many cute ornaments just sitting in boxes so I thought it would be fun for her to have her own tree to decorate. Jason's dad's wife Diane started her several different Hallmark collections the year she was born. I've gotten her several as well as other family members, so she has a pretty impressive collection for a 3 yr. old. She loved getting to choose one each time and we let her place it on the tree wherever she wanted (took lots of control on my part but I had to remind myself that it was her tree). She spread them apart pretty well and there were only a few clumped together. So far she hasn't messed with the ornaments which has to be hard because they were so "people" like to her that she kept wanting to play with them. Now if we can just figure out how to keep Haley's little paws out of it.

Hanna's Wobots
Hanna has really gotten into drawing and coloring these last few months. One day out of the blue she started drawing these circles with squiggly lines coming out with a few other markings. She calls them her "wobots." There are happy wobots and sad wobots (I can't tell the difference). They actually have two eyes, a nose, and a mouth somewhere inside the circle and if you tilt your head just right you can differentiate which is which. She draws them all day long on her easel, magna-doodle, paper, the wall (just kidding, not yet anyway). I can't explain the delightful yet creepy fascination with the robot but I'm sure we have many more to come (creepy fascinations that is).

Read any good books lately?
My friend Tran added the Shelfari widget to her blog and I thought it was a great idea. These are a list of books that we are currently reading with mine being on the top shelf, Jason's on the second and Hanna's the last (she's read this one a million times). You can find our shelf toward the bottom of the blog. Please do the same as I am always interested in what other's are reading. The books will change from time to time so check back periodically.
Madagascar 2
Taking Hanna to the movie's is usually Daddy's thing but I talked him into letting me take her today so we could have a Mommy/Daughter day plus I really wanted to watch the new Madagascar movie. Erin & Delaney picked us up and we met up with Sheila & Ansley for lunch. We went to McDonald's and the girls got Happy Meals that had Madagascar figurines in them. They were so cute eating and playing and were getting really excited about going to the movie. We got to the theater and bought our tickets and some Skittles, Jr Mints, Twizzlers, and popcorn (after eating cheeseburgers and fries just minutes before) and found some seats. It's rare that a sequel, especially a cartoon, is better than the first but this one was really cute with a great story line. I had so much fun on our girls day out that maybe I can talk Jason into letting me take her every once in awhile.

Caged Animals
A few days ago I left the girls upstairs playing for only a few minutes and return to find them quietly hanging on the gate like a couple of baby monkeys. I had to take advantage of the photo op since I wasn't actually coaxing them to do it. We all know that if I was they would bolt from there as if the gate was emitting an electric current.
9 Months Later
Haley is 9 months old today! I cannot believe how fast time has flown since the day she was born. I didn't know if I had enough love in my heart for two little girls but I am absolutely in love with this blue-eyed angel. She is such a blessing and completes our family. Here she is from 1 month old and each month of her life until now. So fun to see how much she's changed.

September family photos
Back in September we had our first family photo session since the addition of our little Haley. We have been using Amber Lanning for our photographer ever since Haley was born. She is wonderful and takes the best photos! I was a little late in ordering them but at any rate, here are my favorites.

Mmmmm, Turkey
How much do you really know about the bird? If you've nothing better to do here are some fun turkey facts and a quiz to test your knowledge.

Bath time
Haley LOVES bath time and tries her best to crawl into the tub on her own hiking her chubby little leg up. Throw big sis into the mix and she is so excited she can't contain herself. She was over-joyed to be spending time with Hanna and loved all of her fun bath toys. They taste much better than her own boring baby toys. Haley was thoroughly enthused and watched Hanna very closely. Before it was all over there was more water on the floor than in the bath tub but I would say that their first bath tub experience together was a small success.

A Pumpkin, a Kiss, and some Take-Out
Tran, Scott, and Nicholas came over Halloween night for some hotdogs and chili and a little trick-or-treating. It is a little difficult getting around the neighborhood on Halloween nights as it turns into this huge street party with adults and children alike. We walked across the street to see our neighbors and then climbed in the truck to go see friends on the other side of the subdivision. Raven had special treat bags for Hanna, Nicholas, and Haley so we spent a little time at Bart and Raven's pad and hit one more house before calling it a night.
Back home, Hanna and Nicholas went through their goods and seemed content with what they'd accumulated (it wasn't much but for a 2 year old, plenty). While the kiddos played and loaded up on candy the adults enjoyed some "adult" treats, a cocktail (or two) and Tran's coconut cream pie. Bart and Raven eventually joined the party and after the Robinson's left and the girl's were tucked soundly into bed, we broke out the new Rock Band AC/DC version. Can't wait until next Halloween!
