I made this Haley banner for the party.  I found circus themed paper to go along 

with Haley's circus party.

I ordered, printed and cut out the cupcake toppers and bag tags

from etsy.com.  If you've never checked it out......do!  You will be hooked!

Take home treats included popcorn containers filled with various treats

and bags of animal crackers w/ circus stickers.

Jason fixed the carnival sign and photos cutout for me.

While we weren't watching Haley climbed into the chair

There were bags of popcorn & peanuts which were gobbled up!

Valentine's treats from TN

We also got Valentine's treats from Aunt Cathy, Uncle Mark, Blake and Alex today!  Haley was still at school so I let Hanna open them by herself.  They got Pooh's Heffalump movie (which we've never seen!), Hershey's kisses, and the sweetest little t-shirts!  We had fun watching our new movie tonight and ate a few kisses before going to bed.  Thank you Aunt Cathy!

Valentine's treats from Pittsburgh

Aunt Heather sent us some Valentine's treats in the mail today.  The girls got some candy and the cutest stuffed panda and frog and some  princess stickers.  They love getting packages in the mail!  I got a fancy wine glass (that I will be using all weekend), New Moon inspired chocolates, a wine saver/server, a set of silicone brushes, Urban Decay lip gloss, and a super cute shirt from Gap.  Thank you Aunt Heather for the sweet goodies!

Dum Dum bouquets

I wanted to share a fun Valentine's Day craft that Hanna and I made for some friends and her classmates.  All you have to do is cut out 3 hearts of the same size, 2 leaves, and a smaller flower or two for the center.  Punch or poke small holes and slide them onto the sucker stick.  Attach some tape at the bottom to secure everything.  So much fun since you can use any combination of colors.  They suggested using card stock for the hearts but I didn't on all of them and it was just fine.  These would even be a great Easter/spring craft.

What am I going to do with this girl?

Ok, it was kind of endearing when she started taking her clothes off and saying, "I hot Mom."  Even after she goes to bed at night her jammies might last a whole 5 minutes before being stripped off and thrown out of the bed.  I don't know why we even bother to put them on her.  I can live with that!  What I can't live with is now she doesn't stop at the clothes/jammies;  she proceeds to take her diaper off and wants to go on the big potty.  Great!  Perfectly fine for day time but when I peek at her on the monitor at night and she is lying there with a full moon shining........that could equal disaster.  Which it did after nap time one day when she had a diaper full of C-RAP and decided to take if off.  I'm sure my child isn't the first to pull such shenanigans but she IS the first of mine.

I had to go get her up out of bed last night to re-diaper her and wrap a strip of packing tape around the top of her diaper.  I didn't even bother to put jammies back on.  She wants to be a big girl so bad and I let her set on the potty whenever she wants to.  I think she will be a breeze to potty train but I am just not ready for that.  She isn't even 2 yet!  My philosophy on PT is that both parties have to be ready;  don't know if that's what the books say but that's what I say!  So, until then taping on diapers will be a new priority in the Kaiser house.

A little late but......

I thought I would post a few snow pictures from a couple weeks ago.  We got more snow than I've seen in a long time!!!  That makes me sound really old I realize.  I hibernated for a few days and didn't even mind that I didn't get outside!  Jason and Hanna drove to pick up a friend in the neighborhood for her to play with and the next day she got to go to her friend's house to play, so Hanna had a great weekend.  Jason took Hanna outside to play in the snow and she could barely even walk.  No way Haley could've gotten around-she would've been swallowed up!  

Several times over the weekend Jason mentioned that he really should go knock the snow off our canopy on the back deck but never made it out there.  Then, the not-so-unexpected happened......after hearing a loud crash Jason was sure where it came from. 

Not surprising that the metal frame just buckled under the pressure from a thick layer of ice and 6 in of snow.  What a mess!  My handy little hubby is already scheming on what he is going to "build" to replace it, a pergola perhaps?

Funny girl Haley

She gave herself a black eye by throwing her head down on the train table.  Hanna was trying to give her a piece of cinnamon bread and Haley didn't want the heel that she was being offered.

She wants to stamp ALL the time but I hesitate to give her anything but crayons since it usually ends up on her face.  Remind you of anyone.......a notorious German perhaps???

Haley loves to sing and LOVES singing to her baby dolls and stuffed animals especially.  She doesn't have many songs in her repertoire but she does sing (her version) of Twinkle Twinkle and her ABC song.  At bedtime she asks me to sing "Mimi buy" and sometimes it takes me awhile to realize what she is saying.  She loves "Hush Little Baby" but wants me to say, "Mimi's going to buy you a ........"  But my favorite, favorite song she asks me to sing to her babies is, "Rock-a-by baby, in a "chee bop".  She will hand me a baby and say, "Wockin-a chee bop Mom."  It makes me laugh every time.

The girl will not leave her clothes on and ends up taking her jammies off about every night and throwing them out of her crib.  She says, "I hot mom."  She is dressed and ready to go but when I go find her to get in the car she has managed to take off her pants and her shirt is half-way off.  Very frustrating.

She calls her belly button a "belly butt."  Lately when you ask her a question she responds with, "Ummm, sure."  She loves to ask me where everybody is, for example, "Where's Joni?  Where's Uncle?  How 'bout Mimi?  Hmmmm.  How 'bout Header?  Where's Amber?  How 'bout Papa."  She knows the answer but likes to test me I guess.

She is turning 2 in a little over a week and it blows my mind!  She loves to tell you she is turning 2 while holding up her first finger and thumb and then says she is going to be 5, just for fun.  The other day I asked her what kind of cake she wanted and her first response was "Geen" and when asked a second time she said, "Pincess."  Unlikely that we are going to have a green princess cake but I don't think she will be disappointed in the least!
