Gobble, Gobble, Gobble

On Wednesday morning, Marco (Heather's boyfriend) flew in from Pittsburgh and Jason happily cut out of work early to pick him up and took the rest of the day off. Mom and I took the girls to family play gym at Gymboree while the men went to Home Depot. We had lunch and while Hanna and Haley napped Mom and I dreadfully went to Wal-Mart. We split up in two carts which helped a lot and then headed for the Market to pick up a few specialty items. Back home I made a few appetizers to snack on and Mom and I got some chopping and dicing out of the way while we waited for Heather's plane to arrive. We let Hanna stay up to give Aunt Heather a big hug. Hanna slept in Haley's floor on a special blow-up bed that her friend Delaney let us borrow, thank you so much Delaney! Haley slept in her pack-n-play in our bedroom while the adults got the two upstairs bedrooms. It worked out great!

Thanksgiving Day we had a wonderful dinner and desserts and later proceeded upstairs to play games until around 1am. On Friday we lounged around and ended up going for a walk and spending some time at the park. Mom, Heather, and I snuck out to do some shopping at Hobby Lobby later in the afternoon and went by Blockbuster to rent a movie for the boys. We were sick of turkey and leftovers so Jason and Dad went and picked up Abuelo's for dinner which was a welcome treat! Afterwards the guys watched their movie while we played Scrabble.

Heather had to take Marco to the airport early Saturday morning. Wish you could've stayed longer Marco! Saturday was a day for projects.......Dad helped Jason with Hanna's dollhouse while I put Mom and Heather to work on invitations and decorations for Hanna's birthday party. We worked hard until around 6pm and decided to get out of the house and go down to the Fayetteville square to see the lights. It was VERY cold so we only did one lap around and then headed to Tim's for some hot pizza.

Mom and Dad left out the next morning while we got to keep Heather for a few more hours until her flight out. She was supposed to fly out at 6:15pm but with all the bad weather her flight was delayed. So much so that she would've missed her next connection and gotten stuck in Charlotte. YEAH! Jason drove back to the airport (a mere 15min away) to bring her back home. I got out a bottle of wine and hurriedly whipped up some dinner to celebrate. The best part was that she couldn't get a flight out the next day until the same 6:15 pm flight so I got to drag her around with me all day! We had so much fun. I guess that wraps up my Thanksgiving weekend. Sorry for all the boring deets and hopefully you just skimmed through it all. Following are a few pics from the weekend. We missed you Anthony and Hillary!
